An eco-tech chemical-free solution
Produces healthy water
Destroys all micro-organisms
Rainwater has long been viewed as a safe and reliable source of domestic water. But rainwater is often exposed to many pollutants.
National studies have shown that the microbiological quality of roof-collected water is quite poor. More than 90% of samples taken in a Ministry of Health study failed to meet the national drinking water standards.
The pathogens found included E.coli, cryptosporidium, giardia, salmonella and campylobacter which cause gastrointestinal illnesses. The likely sources of these pathogens are faecal deposits from birds, possums and rodents as well as dead animals and insects.
The people most at risk of getting sick are children, the elderly, and visitors. Fortunately, all of the contaminants that affect roof water can be successfully treated with ozone.

St Clare Lodge is located on an island in the Hauraki Gulf and is totally dependent on rainwater.
Read how Novozone’s tank water ozonator produces safe and excellent-tasting potable water for all the lodge’s guests.
"It is now more than three years ago since we first installed our Novozone rain water ozonator.
We live on a lifestyle block outside Albany. Having young children we were alway's concerned about the water quality.
Fortunately, we made an excellent choice and are since enjoying great tasting, healthy water. The unit is easy to operate and maintain. We have recommended it to many friends and family who are not very satisfied with their water."

Ozone destroys micro-organisms
Ozone is a strong oxidiser and destroys micro-organism cells on contact. The cell walls simply rupture.
Ozone is much more potent than ultraviolet treatment which merely prevents micro-organisms from multiplying. It is also chemical-free and doesn’t leave an aftertaste like chlorine.
Below are the field test results before and after installation of Novozone's TD-1005 tank ozonator.
| Sample | Before | TD-1005 | NZ stds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Faecal | 2,400 | Negative | < 1 |
| Total | 2,400 | Negative | < 3 |
| Std PC 22 | 2,100,00 | NIL | <10,000 |
| Std PC 37 | 73,000 | NIL | <1,000 |
Ozone destroys odours
Tank water can often have unpleasant tastes and odours. This is often caused by contamination from decomposing birds or animals and other organic matter. Even smoke from the fireplace can cause tank water to taste odd.
During times with little rain, high temperatures can cause tank water to taste unpleasant to even the “long-time” rainwater drinker.
Ozone rapidly breaks down the organic molecules which cause tank water to taste stale.
Ozone makes great tasting water
Ozone produces no harmful byproducts. Unused ozone simply reverts back to normal oxygen and raises the level of dissolved oxygen in the water. This makes the water healthy, sparkling and tasty!
The Novozone TD–1005 tank ozonator is a “plug and play” product that requires no plumbing and can be easily installed by the owner. The machine produces ozone under pressure which is bubbled into the water.

Simply mount the ozonator with two screws on the wall near the tank and a power outlet. Lower the ozone diffuser into the tank and connect the ozone delivery hose. Easy!

This model Ti–1005 tank ozonator has a built-in booster pump and a venturi injector which introduces the ozone into the water.

Connect the inlet and outlet lines to the water tank. The water will circulate through the Ti-1005 and ozonate the water.
